Environmental Assessment
Anthropogenic activities has been one of the main drives of global environmental changes. Therefore, the natural ecosystems are experiencing several impacts due to changes in biogeochemical cycles, introduction of exotic species, fertilization by sewage or artificial fertilizers, land use changes, among others. The use of stable isotopes in environmental assessment studies can provide data to identify and evaluate changes in natural ecosystems functioning, as well as indicate measurements that can contribute to its mitigation, management and monitoring.
